Diaries, photographs, family history. Extracts from Lyall's diaries covering years 1851-1885. The diaries mainly deal with the management of Lyall's stations and include many accounts. There are also references to financial transactions and to his voyage to England in 1854. The diaries contain many references to John Mickle and John Bakewell. Photographs of members of the Lyall and Ricardo families. A history of the Lyall and Ricardo families, by Bertha Ricardo. (1956).
